Having produced showcases of new work by a variety of artists working in London and with practical skills in performing design, crafting and producing, DNA offer a workshop that will release the imagination of the contemporary performer into the world of objects and figures.

An introduction to puppet styles, use and history. Including gloves, rod, marionettes and shadow puppets. Developing into an exploration of materials, object and shadow play.

Explore easy puppet making techniques, and the use of puppet manipulation exercises in focus , movement and voice/sound.

Use of found objects and materials for set and props, design and dramaturgy.

Devising original material, improvisation and storyboarding.
