DYNAMIC NEW ANIMATION (DNA)
PUPPETRY AND VISUAL THEATRE
"Communicating
Visually
Inspiring Creativity"
The basis of all DNA’s
work is grounded in puppetry, utilising traditional puppetry
techniques in contemporary practice, whilst devising new approaches
to create hybrid visual theatre forms.
"Dynamic
New Animation is a good example of a contemporary company
that moves easily from work aimed at children to work aimed
at a general theatre audience to adult cabaret."

Since 1994, DNA has been challenging
traditional ideas of puppetry and visual theatre and inspiring
generations of theatre practitioners with fresh approaches
in the creation of new work.
Collaboration with artists in design,
rehearsal, production and touring is core to the company’s
activities, creating opportunities for professional development
whilst sharing knowledge and experience.
Crossing the boundaries of theatre
for young people and adults, street theatre and education,
DNA’s versatility draws on the strength of puppetry
as an artistic medium.
With over thirty years of combined
experience as puppetry practitioners, DNA’s artistic
management team has consistently delivered high-quality national
and international touring productions, education and professional
training residencies as well managing festivals and events.
